Work sites that involves hazardous waste materials are always associated with great risks for the workers. To tackle this problem, the HAZWOPER training courses have been made mandatory for all Hazmat workers.

The HAZWOPER Operations have two main objectives and that is to:

HAZWOPER 40-Hour Course meets the mandated requirements of OSHA standard for training workers engaged in hazardous waste operations outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120. This include removal or handling of underground tanks and/or piping, construction work in which hazardous materials may potentially be present, subsurface investigations, contaminated soil and/or groundwater, prepared, encountered, packaged, marked, stored, labeled, shipped for disposal or any facility where hazardous wastes are stored, treated or disposed. OSHA has mandated that people working with hazardous materials must receive a comprehensive training in this area.
